Why did Harvard accept the daughter of Tiger Mom?

Saw news that both Harvard and Yale accepted Ms. Chua's daughter Sophia as a freshman coming this fall. Does this mean Harvard agrees with many of the techniques that Ms. Chua used to raise her children? Or is it purely based on the performance evaluation of Sophia herself?

But isn't Sophia a product of the way her tiger mother raised her? I kind of think Harvard is trying to make a statement with Sophia's admission.

It certainly should be based solely on Sophia's achievements, with no relation to any other factor. If anything else has influenced the decision, it will be her minor fame, rather than any sort of approval of her mother's opinions and techniques.
